Stroud Jordan award to John Urbanski

John J. Urbanski has been selected as the AACT Stroud Jordan award recipient for 2008. He is currently vice president - technical sales and services at Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The award will be presented during the AACT Technical Seminar on September 23,2008. Urbanski grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and loved the aroma of roasting cocoa beans emitted from the Ambrosia Chocolate plant where his father worked. A few weeks after high school graduation, in 1964, he applied for and obtained a quality control technician position at Ambrosia. He worked full time in various technical roles at Ambrosia, achieving the position of technical director, and also completed a college degree.
