Olam acquires Nigerian biscuit firm

Olam International has recently acquired Nigerian biscuit and confectionery firm Titanium Holding. Olam has paid US$167 million for Titanium, the second-largest biscuit and confectionery manufacturer in Nigeria. Olam expects to establish a biscuits and candy export hub into other West African markets from Nigeria. Nigeria is one of seven African markets in which Olam operates. Biscuits and candy are large and fast-growing categories in Nigeria.
