Katjes acquires stake in Dulcioliva

Germany-based confectionery group Katjes International has acquired a majority stake in Dulcioliva, an Italian manufacturer of truffles and pralines. Through this agreement, Sper-lari S.r.l, .the Italian subsidy of Katjes, holds 75 percent of the shares. Luigi Oliva, grandson of the company's founders, holds the remaining shares. Dulcioliva is based in Piedmont, Italy, and produces gian-duotti, truffles and other pralines. The transaction is expected to close at the end of June.
