摘要

In some manufacturing circles, the annual summer shutdown is a way to curb production runs and costs. This summer, manufacturers were worried about a shutdown of a much more insidious nature.rnThe saga began in July, when certain individualsrnin the cyber-security community stumbled upon an ugly looking piece of malware - specially written code designed to infiltrate and exploit computer systems.rnAn independent computer expert named Frank Boldewin published some of the code on his blog, Offensive Computing, and began to examine its DNA. Known as the Stuxnet worm, the malware operated by slipping quietly into Windows-based computer systems through an undiscoveredrnvulnerability in the popular Microsoft operating system.
