La gestion de la relation d'alliance avec un partenaire industriel concurrent pose un défi majeur aux entreprises. L'alliance génère, en effet, des opportunités et des risques qui peuvent être associés à des comportements opportunistes. C'est une relation d'alliance autour d'un projet pharmaceutique innovant qui est étudiée dans cet article. L'étude démontre la pertinence de la combinaison de l'approche par les options réelles avec la théorie des jeux afin de déterminer le moment optimal de l'entrée d'un partenaire industriel concurrent dans un projet innovant.%Managing an alliance with a rival industrial partner is a major challenge for a firm. An alliance generates both opportunities and risks, which might be associated with opportunistic behavior. This study of an alliance based on an innovative project in pharmaceutics shows how a real options approach can be combined with game theory so as to determine the optimal time for letting a rival industrial firm enter an innovative project.
