Footwear Textiles

Footwear is a protective covering meant to protect the foot from like injuries due to action of sharp edged objects, chemicals, heat, cold, electrical shocks and also to keep area clean where human beings move. One of the common application areas of textiles is footwear. Textiles of all types of Woven, Knitted, Non-woven and Braided materials are used in footwear industry. In footwear, structural components such as Upper, Box toes, Counters, Mid soles, Insoles, Heel tucks and Linings are made of textiles.
