Application of Lac Dye on Mulberry Silk

摘要

Lac dye is one of the most valuable gift of nature to mankind and was extensively used on animal fibres like wool and mulberry silk in earlier days. But due to arrival of synthetic dyes and non-availability of lac dye in regular manner, its use has been arrested. However, keeping in view the environmental awareness throughout the world different natural dyes including lac dye application on Tasar was tried.
