Fuel providers diversify supply to meet IMO 2020 low sulfur demands

Considerably greener' fuel regulation standards mandated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) entered into effect on January 1, 2020. A previously tolerated sulfur emissions cap for global shipping of 3.5% for marine fuels has been shaved to 0.5%. For fuel providers, the first year of experiencing the New Normal did not fail to generate some surprises.
