Air Permitting for Renewable Energy Projects

The future use of renewable fuels is expected to increase. Government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels are fueling this growth through tax credits and other incentives. In addition, the rising costs of oil and natural gas make renewable projects more economically feasible. Yet, despite the environmental benefits inherent in these projects, facilities must still fully meet and comply with standard air quality regulations and requirements. To ensure successful implementation, project developers need to consider the special characteristics of renewable fuels and carefully perform all of the required regulatory analyses.
