GHG Rule for Cars, Light Trucks Sent to OMB for Review

Two federal agencies sent a draft final rule that would limit greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from cars and light trucks and increase fuel economy up to 40% by 2016 to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review March 9. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has said the final rule will be completed by March 31, so that it can be applied to vehicles in the 2012 model year.
