Environment Minister: Alberta Won't Rush to Set GHG Targets

Alberta is not entering the next phase of climate policy development with a set of hard targets in mind. Instead, a new Climate Change Advisory Panel headed by University of Alberta Economist Dr. Andrew Leach has been given more than two months to canvass the public and prepare a set of recommendations on four key subjects: carbon pricing, energy efficiency, renew-ables, and a sustainable electricity strategy.
