摘要

Several industry and public health groups used a public hearing to push for changes in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposal to revise the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for ozone. Representatives of the American Lung Association, Sierra Club, and other environmental and public health groups urged EPA to set the standards at 60 parts per billion (ppb), a level which they said is needed to offer an adequate level of health protection for children and other at-risk populations.
