With apologies for paraphrasing the famous epitaph of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, three years after the publication of the last edition of Locomotives International, this somehow seems an appropriate title for this page, where we set out some thoughts on the future of LI. Mainline & Maritime are delighted to have been given the opportunity to take on Locomotives International, we only hope that we are able to grow and develop the title in a manner which does justice to its proud history. It is also appropriate to pay tribute to our predecessors, the late Donald Binns, Channel View Publications, and Paul Catchpole, for their hard work and determination in establishing and maintaining a niche title such as LI in a crowded marketplace.
