Sunrise partners seek to be 'second Shell FPSO' project

In recent months, following a three-year screening process with its joint venture partners which initially considered five development options, Woodside Petroleum announced a floating LNG (FLNG) processing facility as the preferred development option for the Greater Sunrise project in the Timor Sea. The Woodfield-led Sunrise Joint Venture (Sunrise JV) was unanimous in its selection because it was decided that floating LNG will deliver the best commercial solution consistent with good oilfield practice for all the Greater Sunrise stakeholders. In addition to Woodside, with its 33.4 per cent stake, the joint venture partners comprise ConocoPhillips, with a 30 per cent shareholding, Shell with 26.6 per cent and Osaka Gas 10 per cent.
