All eyes are on China. The country is set to play a key role in the way the global trade in LNG develops over the coming decade. Given that a considerable proportion of the new LNG liquefaction capacity that has come onstream over the past two years has been provided for an anticipated US demand for imports that has failed to materialise, gas sellers are now looking to China to take up the slack.
