In January the GloBallast Partnerships Project, which runs from 2008 to 2014 and focuses on enabling developing countries to implement the ballast water management convention (BWMC), published its mid-term evaluation. The project is intended to assist developing countries to develop systems to implement BWM and compliance, offering support particularly on legal and technical issues.
