摘要

The Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center in San Diego, CA, is a five-level research facility that features lab space, research offices, an auditorium, a large public entry lobby and exterior gardens. Designers had their hands full when it was time to illuminate so many new areas, so they turned to some older fixtures for answers. First, a 1940s' Louis Poulsen fixture no longer in production, was customized to today's standards and used within the long corridor on the first level. The new fixtures brought out the details of the wood panels in the ceiling and provided upward and downward light.
