Making "a dangerous attempt to predict the future," keynote speaker David DiLaura (top, right) drew parallels between a number of key historical milestones in lighting and the transformation of the industry currently taking place with the emergence of LEDs. Keynote speaker Howard Brandston (top, left) took aim at CFLs and argued passionately for a repeal of the incandescent ban in his talk, "Energy Legislation: The CFL and its Impact on Your Projects and Clients." More than 20 seminars were also offered in four tracks. Ray Grenald (bottom, left), Grenald Waldron Associates, spoke on "Finding the Elegant Solution: Passion, Light, Architecture, Environment."
