So what's with all the dark wall colors? I'm talkin' very dark, even black. A newly renovated coffee shop owned by a national chain recently changed from the open and airy look to the dark cocktail lounge environment, going so far as to paint the restroom vestibule black. With only one recessed downlight in the center of the space, it is a good thing that the ADA requires a contrast on restroom signage, otherwise no one would dare to enter the space. This is not an isolated incident.
