Recently-appointed Transport Minister Paul Clark addressed the Thames Gateway Forum in late November and discussed plans for M25 highway upgrades, extra capacity for London City Airport and the regenerative effects of the High Speed 1 rail link. Sadly, light rail was nowhere on Mr Clark's agenda for the forum, following London Mayor Boris Johnson's decision to cut Docklands Light Railway extensions in the area.
