Dubai maintenance contract award

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the 13-year EUR 120m maintenance contract for phase I of the Al Sufouh tramway to a consortium of Alstom and Cofely Besix Facility Management. It includes a EUR50m option for a five-year extension. The contract is for the rolling stock and fixed installations of phase 1 of the Dubai tramway; this includes the supply and maintenance of 1 1 Citadis tramsets, 1 0km (6.2 miles) of APS-equipped track, 1 3 stations, the depot and stops, signalling, ticketing systems and electrification.
