Anderson (photo director, Family Circle) and Pinneo (a stay-at-home mom) grew up in western Michigan and have been skiing together for most of their lives. In their first cookbook, they offer 125 easy recipes for meals from morning to night, including breakfast fare, "apres-ski snacks," and both quick and slow-cooked main courses. Recipes are rated by ease of preparation, using ski-trail icons (e.g., black diamonds for the more difficult ones), and skiing references and puns turn up often in the text and head-notes.
