Inside the book, Corazza and Ropa (coauthors, The Last Men: Journeys Among the Tribes of New Guinea) portray cherry blossoms, sumo wrestlers, Buddhists monks, salary-men, sword makers, exquisite temples, noodle slurpers, raked rock gardens, modern architecture, shoppers, sex workers, and a variety of streetscapes oddly distorted by the use of extreme telephoto lenses.
