More than 70% of the North West's personal injury law firms say that the regulatory and structural changes in the sector in the first half of this year are having a negative impact on their businesses, with only 15% of firms believing the impact is likely to be positive. One respondent described the changes as "overwhelming" with "no evidence that they are benefitting clients". Another described their impact as "monumental" and "a major factor in the demise of so many good law firms, resulting in reduced public access to the law and justice".
