Beating fraud

A self regulation agreement has been set up to safeguard 'Made In Italy' and fight fraud and unauthorised use of this trademark. It was signed by ANCI, the Italian Association of Footwear Manufacturers and UNCA, the National Accessory arid Components Makers Union, to combat fraudulent use of the 'Sole made In Italy' phrase. In other parts of the world footwear with one or more Italian made components are passed off as wholly made In Italy.
