Leather industry meets 25% demand on Eidul Azha

Tanneries across the city did not report any incidences of snatching truckloads of hides and skins during the three days of the Eidul Azha. Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association Hamid Zahoor stated there wwere no major incidents of the snatching of trucks loaded with hides and skins reported in the city, and the overall situation remained satisfactory. The vice-chairman and head of the vigilance team, Aamir Majeed, said that the entire tannery zone in Korangi Industrial Area had been cordoned off by PTA-assisted CPLC neighbourhood care, while deputy commissioner Korangi Zubair Channa had further ordered to deploy rangers and police in the sensitive points.
