Since 1974, France Croco has positioned itself as one of the leaders in the sourcing of crocodile leathers. Located at Periers in Normandy, the tannery carefully selects high-quality skins from North America, Southern Africa and Asia Pacific. It commercialises its finished leathers mainly to the leather goods, watch straps and footwear markets. Thanks to its 40 finishes produced in more than 600 colours, France Croco has definitively won over the luxury fashion houses. In 2013 Kering became the majority shareholder in the company, and since then it has doubled its headcount - it employed 90 people in 2018 compared with 45 in 2013 - and has accelerated its transition towards sustainable development (traceability and well-being, reduction of its impact on the environment…). In parallel, the company has developed a tanning process that eliminates the metals traditionally used to treat skins and has reduced its consumption of water, energy and chemical products.
