China's WTO Entry: New Opportunities Foreseen For Growth Of Leather Industry Sector

The advances made by China in various industry sectors, including those of leather, footwear and leather products, has often been regarded as a measure of growth which Indian industry could well aspire for. Particularly in the area of footwear manufacture and exports to several overseas destinations, the enormous multiplier export expansion is looked upon as a significant aspect of industrial progress in general. With the imminent entry of China into the World Trade Organisation, the repercussions of this are also being analysed in various quarters.
