Telecom Argentina selects Prysmian for FTTH network rollout

Cable manufacturer Prysmian Group has announced it has been awarded a contract by Telecom Argentina to supply and install an optical network that will provide the passive infrastructure for the first part of the telecom provider's new fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. In response to growing consumer demand for faster internet, Telecom Argentina is expanding its broadband services by deploying a FTTH network utilizing GPON technology, with network rollout focused mainly on the city of Buenos Aires.
