BROADCASTING/COMMUNICATION-COMBINED FTTH OPTICAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND METHOD, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH SETTING UP THE TRANSMISSION PATHS OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF OPTICAL SIGNALS BETWEEN AN OPTICAL LINE TERMINAL AND AN OPTICAL NETWORK UNIT IN AN FTTH
PURPOSE: A broadcasting/communication-combined FTTH(Fiber To The Home) optical signal transmission system and method is provided to configure an optical signal transmission system more cheaply and simply by combining plural optical signals into a single signal and transmitting it through a single optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting/communication-combined FTTH optical signal transmission system is divided into an OLT(Optical Line Terminal) in a service provider side and an ONU(Optical Network Unit) in a service subscriber side. The OLT consists of a digital broadcast provider(120), an analog broadcast provider(140), a giga-bit Ethernet provider(160), and an OMU((Optical Multiplex Unit)200). The ONU consists of an ODU(Optical Demultiplex Unit)(300), a digital broadcast port(420), an analog broadcast port(440), and a giga-bit Ethernet port(460). The ODU(300) distributes and provides 1/2/3-combined optical signals, transmitted from the OLT, to associated service subscribers. The digital broadcast port(420) receives a 1 optical signal provided from the ODU(300). The analog broadcast port(440) receives a 2 optical signal provided from the ODU(300). The giga-bit Ethernet port(460) receives a 3 optical signal provided from the ODU(300) and transmits an associated giga-bit Ethernet signal to the ODU(300).
