Tigo Guatemala, the country's largest mobile operator by subscribers, has launched a new business division focusing on corporate customers. The new unit, simply called Tigo Business', offers voice telephony, broadband internet and data transmission services to corporate clients across the country. Corporate services director Michele Ceschia indicated that the unit already has some 6,000 customers, suggesting that it may in fact be the company formerly known as Amnet Guatemala, which was acquired by Tigo parent company Millicom International Cellular (MIC) in 2008. Ceschia commented: 'Ourfocus is on large corporations and SMEs requiring technology solutions to improve productivity'.
