China regulator approves acquisition of Mellanox by Nvidia

Nvidia said its planned acquisition of Mellanox for US$ 6.9 billion has been approved by all of the necessary authorities. The latest green light comes from China's State Administration for Market Regulation. It follows antitrust approval from the European Commission and Mexico and the expiration of the waiting period under US antitrust laws. Some customary closing conditions remain, but all conditions to the deal have been satisfied. The transaction is now expected to take place around 27 April.
