Telefonica rolling out LTE-M and NB-loT networks in Argentina

Movistar Argentina (Telefonica) has announced plans to implement Narrow-Band loT and LTE-M technologies throughout the country by the end of the year. The company said it's the first operator in the country to begin adapting its LTE network on a large scale to provide M2M and loT solutions, having already begun deploying the technology in the greater Buenos Aires area with a view to providing improved indoor coverage and better bandwidth for fleet management, geolocation and gas, water and electricity telemetering applications, said the company.
