Restoring Old Kings Highway

Once, many years ago, it was only a path used by Native Americans as they walked to a fresh water spring that is still flowing today. It led through woods and meadows of the historic Tucker farm purchased by Henry Tucker in 1669. Originally, there were 800 acres in the Tucker tract. Today there are 148 acres. Later renamed the Gidley Farm, the land and the portion of the road through the farm has been owned by the same family for 13 generations. Marjorie Waite and Neal Weiss are the current owners.
