"On behalf of Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), we would like to commend you and your employees for the outstanding work performed on the largest stream restoration project ever undertaken in Delaware. Your firm's ability to manage a complex project of this magnitude was truly remarkable as numerous unforeseen and uncontrollable challenges were encountered," wrote Jim Chaconas, Environmental Scientist for DNREC, in a letter to Meadville Land Service, Inc. Pike Creek, in northern New Castle County, Delaware, is a tributary of White Clay Creek, part of the National Wild and Scenic River system. It is one of the few trout stocked streams in the state, provides a habitat corridor in an area of dense development, and is a potential migratory corridor for the endangered bog turtle. But, most importantly, it serves as a source of public drinking water.
