This paper proposes a method to evaluate road roughness from the viewpoint of wheelchair users. Two types of wheelchair users' complaints are discussed. One is derived from viscera resonance caused by low frequency and large amplitude vibration. The other is derived from stimuli to damaged spinal column caused by high frequency vibration. The paper quantifies perceptive functions of the two through field tests. It is a part of the basis to design t he standard on road roughness without wheelchair users' complaints.
