Pre-assembled thread guide unit

Stoll has applied for a patent for a new pre-assembled thread guide rail unit and method of fitting a flat knitting machine with independently powered yarn guides (Fig 1). The patent application is based on a pre-fitted yarn carrier rail unit which has a yarn carrier rail for at least one independently driven yarn-carrier which is able to move the former. The unit has a yarn carrier drive able to fit the driving arrangement for connecting the yarn carrier drive to the yarn carrier. The new yarn carrier rail unit (10, 10.1-10.8) can be placed ready to function into a flat knitting machine.
