The distinctive red wax that tops each bottle of Maker's Mark can now be seen on bottles of Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia tequila. The maker of the Kentucky bourbon is suing because it considers the copycat a trademark infringement. According to the Associated Press the suit was filed this week in Louisville, KY naming Tequila Cuervo la Rojena and some affiliated companies as defendants, along with Diageo North America Inc., the U.S. distributor of the tequila.
