ALLTECH AND PORTOFINO RESTAURANT UNITE TO UNVEIL BLUEGRASS SUNDOWN

Alltech's Lexington's Brewing Co. introduced its newest signature bourbon drink, Bluegrass Sundown in February. Alltech, in co-operation with Portofino's Restaurant in Lexington, KY presented the coffee-and-bourbon liqueur to the public. The $10 dollar ticket price to attend the event went to the Alltech Haitian Relief Project.rnPortofino mixologist served those in attendance by mixing the liqueur with hot water and adding cold heavy cream on top, Irish coffee style. The recommended recipe for serving a Bluegrass Sundown is to shake the bottle, then pour 1/3 part liqueur into the glass 2/3 part boiling water; float heavy cream on top. Sip hot drink through the cool cream. The recipe is based on a 5-ounce serving.
