The OIV and International Activities Regarding the Individual and Societal Aspects of Wine Consumption

摘要

In accordance with the declared objectives and activities in the Establishing Agreement of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV); the Strategic plan of the OIV 2009-2012, and the working programme of the Safety and Health Commission, the OIV has competence and responsibility to address issues related to wine consumption and health. In doing so it takes into account the efforts of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to develop a global strategy to reduce the harmful use of alcohol, as well as the European Union (EU) Council initiative towards Member States to develop comprehensive, effective and sustainable national alcohol policies. Within this framework, the OIV develops recommendations.
