So, how did we ever manage to get a weavers' workshop off the ground in this day and age? It would be easy to look back into the past and pat ourselves on the back for our resolve... how we held on to an idea, a dream, and stubbornly refused to let go until that dream was realised. In fact the reality was far more mundane. We came together, in dribs and drabs over the years, stopping and starting, with the ever present pushes and pulls of families and homes, work and money, inevitably depleting our weaving time. Individual enthusiasm was never in short supply; a permanent place in which to weave, and the time to come together to do so, were not so readily available.
