That was played on a treble recorder made by Dolmetsch, a person who revived early music in England. The recorder was given to me on my 25th birthday, and in those days, you were allowed to use ivory, so it's quite a handsome thing with an ivory mouthpiece'.rn'I haven't played these recorders for a long, long time,rnand opening the box, I find that in two of them, the bloody moths have attacked the felt lining that I carefully made in these boxes. So two of the recorders that I wanted to play are all sort of bunged up with moths' droppings. The two that I played are the only ones which seem to be fairly clear of moths' little bits'.
