Worsted or woollen. Which do you spin? Or do you spin something in between? Designing yarn requires that you are clear and confident about your end product, as this is the starting point of any spinning project. The handle, thickness, pattern and wear all affect the manner of preparation and spinning. Just a small adjustment of the hands can produce a totally different yarn. I have given a brief description of how to produce both woollen and worsted spinning below, but most of us spin a 'hybrid' of these methods. There are no hard and fast rules. If you produce the yarn you want, then keep on doing it your way! These are a few notes that may help you try something different.
