My chosen textile art medium is tapestry weaving. Woven tapestry is a weft-faced textile. It involves taking a weft over warps and beating it down firmly so that only the weft shows. Where the weft crosses the warp a small bead of colour is produced. As the weaving progresses it is these small beads of colour that the human eye merges together to form the image -a bit like the painting technique of pointillism.
