Fortunate is the newcomer to spinning who finds themself in a community of experienced practitioners all of whom are generous, patient teachers of their crafts. For many, joining a Guild is a search for someone (or several someones) to support them. Every new spinner needs an experienced observer to tactfully point out that they have just spun and plied in the same direction and no, that does not mean that it's now boucle yarn.
