DETERMINATION OF CONCENTRATIONS OF Cu, Zn, Cr, Mn, Cd, AND Pb IN WATERS IN THE VICINITY OF WASTE DUMPS OF COAL MINES IN THE DONETS BASIN

Concentrations of Cu, Zn, Cr, Mn, Cd, and Pb in surface and ground waters in the impact zones of an active and an abandoned waste dumps of two coal mines in the Donets Basin were determined by the atomic absorption method. In a number of cases, Mn, Cd, and Pb were found in concentrations that significantly exceeded the maximum permissible limits.
