Checklist of the insect fauna of Kuwait

474 insect species comprising 343 genera in 19 orders are listed from Kuwait together with their authorities. Two species belong to the subclass Apterygota (wingless insects), 90 species in 77 genera to the division Exopterygota (insects with simple metamorphosis) and the remaining 382 species in 264 genera belong to the division Endopterygota (insects with complete metamorphosis). The largest exopterygote order is Hemiptera with 23 species and 21 genera, while the largest endopterygote order is Coleoptera with 147 species and 88 genera.
