摘要

Use of a consistent testing method is beneficial in characterizing aerodynamic and energy performance of fan-filter units (FFUs). Evaluation methods of laboratory-measured performance for ten relatively new, 1220 mm x 670 mm (or 4 ft x 2 ft) FFUs are presented. The paper includes results such as energy performance indices (EPI) based upon the sample FFUs tested. This paper concludes that there are variations in FFU performance, and that using a consistent testing and evaluation method can generate compatible and comparable FFU performance information. The paper also suggests that benefits and opportunities exist for integrating this method of testing FFU energy performance into future recommended practices.
