Guest Editorial

摘要

This special issue is a very selective collection of papers presented in the "International Conference on Applied Analysis and Algebra (ICAAA2011)" jointly organized by Yildiz Technical University, Putra University of Malaysia and Fatih University, which was held on 27-30 June and 1-2 July 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. The issue attracted the papers that study the recent trends in mathematics and have effects in applications. There are 12 papers in total that are contributed to this particular issue. The first ten papers are mainly on partial differential equations that have real life applications and the last two papers are in the area of algebraic coding theory that finds applications in digital information transfer or storage.
