Transferring Self-Assembled, Nanoscale Cables into Electrical Devices

Here we describe the synthesis, self-assembly, and properties of the contorted hexabenzocoronenes (HBC) 1. We show that this material organizes into molecular stacks, and further that these stacks organize into cables or fibers.
